Passport: Community Involvement Support for the Developmentally Disabled
Take your place in the world.
Community Involvement Support for
people with Developmental Disabilities
Passport is a service for adults who have completed school and are living with a developmental disability. Funded by the Government of Ontario, the program is provided by Family Counselling and Support Services for residents of Guelph, Wellington, and Dufferin Counties.

We help clients get more involved in their community and better prepared for future employment.
Community Participation Supports
'Community participation supports' means having the help you need to become involved in your community.

People we support learn to improve social skills and more effectively access community resources such as transportation services, shopping, libraries, and recreational activities.

Our services include:
• participation in community and leisure activities
• opportunities to volunteer
• skills development

Through these activities, people living with developmental disabilities become more proficient at interacting with others and getting involved in their community.

Funding Option: Clients have the opportunity to receive Passport funding directly from the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services. This funding can be used to purchase services and programs from various community-based organizations.
